Wordless Wednesday (Almost)--Vintage School Transformed

Hi Teri Eckholm I love old schools.... we still have one that I went to in our town....others have been converted to either condos or more town office space....I love to think about those good old days...

Hey Teri Eckholm my old elementary school was made into housing. I saw it years ago and was thrilled it has a new life. I'm with Barbara Todaro , I love the old schools and love it when they are converted. 

There issomething about older schools that have a patina about them, that we don't see in more modern construction.  Here in Sacramento, our older schools had a design similar to the one pictured.  The kids walked inside, and there were any corridors open to the elements.  Our newer schools are often built with classroom doors to the outside.  I think this makes them so much more vulnerable.

Teri, I can picture this full of luxury condos!  What a wonderful old building.

I think my old elementary school is still around, however, I am not sure how it may have been repurposed.
