Back to Pen and Paper….How the New ActiveRain Homepage Has Made Me Work to Keep Up.

 

I love ActiveRain.  But, now that I can’t figure out how to keep track of those I have commented on and reciprocate in kind, I am resorting to pen and paper.

 

Before I could just look to see who commented and then read the comment, respond and delete it.  Now that is gone.

 

Along with about 12 pages of comments.  Yes, I guess this is progress.  But, I don’t have to like it, do I?

 

If I want to be fair to all the folks who have taken a minute or two to read a post of mine, and then comment, I now find it onerous to do so.

 

This is for the tech people who aided us in the last installment of  “upgrades”.

They took everything away from me.  It is like I never commentedted or wrote a post..and no one ever commented or followed me.  My past here is completely gone.  This really sucks.  Thanks, ActiveRain.  Bring on the robo-bloggers, Zillow.  They don't care about community either.

Suzanne, I have really seen some good come out of this issue, as it has raised a new awareness about people reciprocating comments.  I wonder if some of the inveterate talkers will become walkers???

Yes, aggravating indeed.  Hopefully they will fix this soon.  We also seem to take 2 steps forward and one back. But, this one may have been vice versa.

There has been a lot of over sold hype that CHANGE is GOOD!  However, I have learned over the years that not all change is evolutionary.  It is in fact mere raw energy, only as good as those with the power to shape, form and manifest it. The rest of us are mere mortals, who can only watch and see!

Suzanne - Wow, that must be very frustrating. It also makes me wonder if I am missing people commenting on my posts, and me not reciprocating. Sounds very time consuming, and I don't really know what the answer is. Hopefully it will get remedied soon.

Suzanne, I frustrated as well with some of the changes. Hopefully the least popular ones will be addressed sooner rather than later. Change sure is hard!

Suzanne, it shows from the posts you are not alone.  I was not happy myself.  I agree with Bob Crane that there is an agenda we are not aware of and only time will tell exactly what it is. I was already stretching to justify my time in AR and with the last change looked more closely at my ROI here.  It is in the people within, certainly not leads from posts.  So I cancelled my Rainmaker status to be members only.   Best in the rest of your week.
