What a wonderful post to reblog. My husband and I have considered how we will move his Aunt into our home if she needs it and how it will impact us.

Several years ago, it was parents facing issues of "Boomerang Kids" who returned home after flying alone for awhile.  But, increasingly we are hearing of parents, who are now moving in with the kids.  This blog alerts to issues to be concerned with!

Good evening Don Sabinske ,  We are going through some of those thoughts, now as my 87 year old aunt is heading in that direction.

Don Sabinske  very intelligent post with great suggestions a powerful re blog . My daughter is always after my to get a living will she does not want the responsibility of making that decision 

Thanks for sharing this Don, it is a topic that had been considered here often, so far mom is not ready to move, but you never know when or if she will be.

Do...so much of this happening nationwide. We have a new build community and one of the big requests is first floor bedrooms for the parents!

This is a good choice for a reblog.  I am a Louisiana Notary Public and Paralegal, so, I totally agree with you.  It is best to discuss  the will, living will, and power of attorney with parents and loved ones before it becomes and issue. You should know how they feel about these issues.  And when in doubt,  seek legal advice from an estate planning or family law attorney.  Preparation is key.

Such a great list. I think when in the middle of this type of emothional move, it is hard to remember all the things to consider.
