River Cats Schedule for 2015 Season

We are experiencing warm, gorgeous weather in Sacramento this week.  Temps are in the 70s.  It is that time of year when the Sacramento River Cats Baseball team begins cranking up with this season's games.  My family and many Sacramentans, get excited about our hometown team.

The River Cats season will begin off on Thursday, April 9th against Salt Lake City.  It is a home game. Game starts at 7:05 PM at Raley Field. 

Raley Field enjoys close proximity to Old Sacramento.  A fun packed family affair can be planned and enjoyed.

William Johnson - It the fairytale factory of my mind, the name, "River Cats" had to of been conjured at one of Old Sacramento's saloons. . .tsk, tsk!

Joan Whitebook - Spring certainly is in the air.  It was 75 degrees in Sacramento today! 

Bob "RealMan" Timm - The River Cats games are crowd pleasers.  We see a lot of groups go together to attend.

Ron & Alexandra Seigel - If you want to see cats drifting down the river, you'd need to come to "Rafting Gone Wild."  It's usually mid-summer.

Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert - I think "River Cats" is a great name too!

I suspect way back when when rats were the main critter swamping the river, cats were probably brought in to chase them to other parts.  No wonder the RiverCats are such local favorites.

There is nothing that says River Cats like the darn fireworks that go off, and if I'm not completely asleep before then, it rocks my head on my pillow, LOL. Even in Land Park I can hear the fireworks at Raley Field.
