Greetings all!
I wear my heart on my sleeve often times, and this might just be one of those moments. You see, I am a brand new agent, and I am not afraid to share this fact with you all. Fresh from the aviation industry where I spent 15 years filling various roles like pilot, maintenance manager, and supply chain specialist, I come into my new career with one major life lesson in mind -- you need to speak your mind and have the confidence to do so.
Learning to speak my mind, tactfully mind you, kept me in the forefront of things I held dear to me in my previous career, things such as safety and ethics. So long as I could truthfully speak my mind, I knew things would get accomplished safely and ethically.
The same, I hope, holds true in real estate; safety and ethics. I have but one month under my belt right now as an agent, and so far I have seen nothing but safety and ethics amongst my colleagues. I can expect no less, because the client should expect no less. Dare I believe the shared core competenties of safety and ethics flows effortlessly throughout the kingdom?
My heart says yes, but my logical mind cries "BEWARE!" I like to expect the best out of people, not the worst. Maybe I am naive in this thought, but I would rather believe the best in people rather than expect the worst so I do not hurt as bad. But that is just me. As a new agent, I want to go into this career with a positive mindset. And if I get burned? Well, I have handled fires before.
But I digress. I hope my future blogs are, well, useful to the audience. Whether you use them for laughs, or for thought, either way is great. Thanks for reading! Take care all!
