March 14, 2015 is probably the most incredible Geek Day of the century, it is national Pi Day.
Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. When trying to calculate out the math, it's numbers do not appear to ever end or repeat. Mathematician have tried and so far they have extended the decimal out eight quadrillion digits and geeks around the world are trying to push further.
The United States Congress passed Pi Day in the 111th Congress with H. Res 224 on March 9, 2009.
Since Pi is 3.14....; it seems appropriate to celebrate it on March 14 (3/14). This year is even better in that we can extend it out two more decimals and still be correct on 3/14/15. True geeks will probably be toasting each other with Pi shaped objects at 9:26 (and 53 seconds) AM since that will make it even more mathematically correct 3 14 15 9 26 53....

If you want to get your Geek on this Pi Day here in Boise, Idaho, consider going to the Discovery Center Idaho for Pi Day at DCI at 131 Myrtle Street. Hopefully they open 3 minutes and seven seconds early to truly celebrate correctly since it would be 3/14/15 9:26 53 AM (correct to the 9th decimal).
PS. Maybe I am just a Realtor Geek, but doesn't Pi remind you of some of the G(r)eek Columns and houses?
