Northwest Arkansas is a pretty amazing place. The new Amazeum opening in July, just down the road from Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, is going to make it even better!
Located in Bentonville, the home of Wal-Mart, the Amazeum promises to be:
"...a museum for children and families! Everything is hands-on and designed to be touched, climbed on, and interacted with. Exhibits are designed to engage the imagination and to bring art and science to life. "
From the Amaseum website.
I'm super excited about this! My family and I (two girls ages 5 and almost 3) spent the morning at Crystal Bridges. We had a great time - we ate brunch, explored the museum a bit, and the girls played in the hands-on room they have for kiddos. It was a great way to spend a Sunday. BUT - when we were walking through the galleries, there was a definite "HANDS OFF" rule.
I love the idea of a place that they can learn about art and science and the rule can be "HANDS ON!"
The Amazeum is going to be another reason Northwest Arkansas is a great place to live!
