On May 4, 2008, I will be running the Long Island Marathon and I will be raising money for St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. St Jude's, as all of you may know, is a research hospital dedicated to finding cures for illnesses that afflict children. It was originally started by entertainer Danny Thomas. Since it's inception, St. Jude's has dramatically increased the survival rate of many childhood diseases and has saved the lives of thousands of children.
A marathon is 26 miles, I would like to ask you to sponsor my run for $1 per mile or more if you would like. I have run this marathon 3 times before, each time raising money for a worthy cause. Please help me make this year our most successful year yet, and helping the wonderful people at St. Jude's.
