This is an excerpt from an article I wrote that's positioned on Google News, and is still ranking quite well for the primary topics of Historic Houses in New Hope, PA for Sale, Angela Lansbury & The Bucks County Playhouse. New Hope, an eclectic town on the banks of the Delaware River in Bucks County, Pennsylvania is no stranger to unique talents, architecture & stories. The stories started early on with Gen. George Washington crossing the Delaware and continue to this day. A notable story-telling venue of town is the Bucks County Playhouse, once a circa 1790 grist mill. During much its 75+ year history as the State Theater of Pennsylvania, it had been the de facto pre-New York stage for many performers & Broadway productions.
In 2012, The Bucks County Playhouse Conservancy, a public/private partnership acquired the distressed property from a previous foreclosure and undertook significant restorations both physically & theatrically. By all accounts, the Playhouse has reclaimed its rightful place of honor in keeping up & expanding upon the traditions of live theater. www.HistoricHomesInBucks.com ~ Newly Priced - See Link Above for Details ~
