Anyone that knows me or have read my post, know that I don't like to deal with a lot of negative things. Sadly, this is one of those events.
Last night the city of Fort Smith, Arkansas and surrounding areas, suffered severe damage. The first storm came through about 8 p.m. Then another storm. Then another. Winds were blowing and the Tornado Sirens were going off all over the area. I have not seen the rain blow in so many different directions in my entire life. There was golf ball to baseball sized hail, and at times it seemed like it wouldn't end.
My family and I took shelter, and all we could do was pray. Pray for ourselves and others. We were blessed. Many were left without electricity. Many had to leave their homes. Several had vehicles, and homes damaged.
The people are still in shock as to the events that occurred. People were out boarding up windows and insurance agents might not see their families for weeks. It was good to see neighbors lending a helping hand to one another. That's one of the greatest things about this area. The caring and helpful people!
We may have seen a horrible storm, but we will put the pieces back together, and the area will be better than ever. The photo's below were taken today!!!
