Newton Festival of the Arts May 2015 will be another celebration of the vast diversity of interests and arts.  May 2015 was declared as "Festival of the Arts" month by Mayor Setti Warren.  Art, music and cultural events are very important to any community and they are especially rich and diverse in Newton, MA.  There is an abundance of talented residents and organizations that contribute to the local and national art, music and culture scene. There will be 60 events that will span every art form during the month.

Proceeds from the Festival of Arts will help support the Newton food pantries and will also go to Newton's nonprofit arts and cultural scene.  It is exciting to volunteer to be part of this group and lend my time and talents to help communicate these events.  Sharing the vast culture that makes up a town like Newton is an honor.  Meeting and speaking with the owners of the local businesses that are providing support is also exciting.  Communities are made up of people and businesses. In Newton, there is such choice for the residents to grow in any of these areas.  It is well known that many talented people had their start in Newton.  Matt Damon, B. J. Novak, Matt LeBlanc, Julie Taymor and so many more actors, the educators, scientist, and medical people of equal significance grew up in this wonderful town.

Hi Larry Lawfer , Newton sounds like an awesome community.  My kind of place.  Unfortunately, that was one place I never made it to, during my Art Festival years.

Bill Kennedy this will be a remarkable display of talent. Thanks for stopping by.

Larry Johnston You have a whole month of May to make the trip.  We might even not have snow on the ground by then.
