Branchburg is a township in Somerset County, New Jersey. The township includes a part of the unincorporated community of North Branch (the other part is in Bridgewater Twp.) and also a section called Neshanic Station.
Branchburg Township is considered a semi rural area. Originally a farming community, the Real Estate in Branchburg has changed over the past few decades and now offers a picturesque blend of farmland and established suburban communities that include condominiums, single family homes, new construction homes and estates on large parcels of land up to 10 acres. Branchburg is the home to many notable attractions: The Neshanic Golf Course, the Raritan Valley Community College and The River Lea Farm to name a few. Students in the Branchburg public schools attend grades K through 8. High Schools students attend Somerville High School in Somerville, NJ.
Branchburg is centrally located close to major highways (Routes 22 and 202, Interstates I 78 and I 287. Bus service to Manhattan is available on a daily basis and New Jersey Transit offers rail service from Branchburg to Newark, where connections can be made to New York City. Newark International Airport is approximately 35 miles northeast of Branchburg.
