Camas Easter Egg Hunt at Crown Park - 1:30 PM on Easter Sunday
The Camas Parks and Recreation Department hosts the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Crown Park on Easter Sunday. Kids from 2 through 12 years are invited to join in the fun. The event is free and gets underway at 1:30 PM on April 5, 2015.
Crown Park is located at NE Everett Road and NE 17th Avenue. If you have any questions about the event, call 360-834-5307.
10,000 candy and prize-filled eggs will be hidden in designated areas color marked for age groups - 2 to 4 years, 3 to 5 years, 6 to 7 years, 8 to 9 years, and 10 to 12 years. Children should bring a basket or bag for their eggs and must be accompanied by an adult.
Crown Park - The Easter Egg Hunt Kicks off a Season of Fun
Crown Park is a jewel in the heart of Camas, and is a popular spot for year round fun. It's especially lovely in Spring, and the Annual Egg Hunt is a great kick-off to a busy season of family activities.
One of my favorite post-hunt activities is the Traditional Easter Bonnet and Contemporary Hat contest. You're guaranteed to see a variety of colorful and creative chapeaus.
Last year, Sir Launch-a-Lot, an egg-launching robot was on hand for entertainment. The kids especially enjoy watching eggs fly through the air. Hopefully, he'll be back in 2015.
Other popular events at Crown Park include the Camas Summer Concert Series, Movies in the Park, and the Camtown Youth Festival. The swimming pool is a well-attended spot during the warm summer months, and the park is also popular for family celebrations such as birthdays and reunions.
Here's short video about the Park from the Spring of 2012. Hope you enjoy it.
