Utah Real Estate Agent Licensing Information
In order to help the people around you in buying and selling real estate for compensation, you need a license to do so. Obtaining a license is one of the first steps that must be completed before acting as a real estate agent in Utah.
The Utah Division of Real Estate is in charge of licensing Utah real estate professionals. They have set standards the must be met in order to become a licensed agent in Utah.
In order to get a real estate license in Utah, potential licensees must do the following:
- Meet qualifications regarding honesty, integrity, truthfulness, reputation, and competency as outlined in the Utah Code Section 61-2f. (Special requirements regarding person's with felony and certain misdemeanor convictions.) See Utah Division of Real Estate Qualification Questionnaire.
- Be at least 18 years old when applying for a license.
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Meet the 120 hour Utah Real Estate Education Requirement offered by a certified Utah Real Estate school such as Agent Professor. Easily pass the test with the help of our practice exams!
- Pass the Utah State Exam.
- Submit the licensing application along with required forms, and fees, to the Utah Division of Real Estate.
