The Quarry once was an active limestone quarry on Immokalee Rd. and the 1 mile long Stone Lake was in existence prior to Centex Homes obtaining the property in 2005 for development. The intitial building of single family homes and carriage homes started in the front of the property and continued to the west side. It was planned with an 18 hole PGA golf course & Lodge, amenity center and lakes where boating is allowed.
After the housing downturn several years later, Pulte retuned to complete this development and added estate homes surrounding the lake, more carraige homes and the pool and Beach Club, 4 Har-Tru tennis court, and more...
The completed development offers over 900 residences to with an active yet leisurely lifestyle, golf membership is optional.
During the grand opening by Centex I had the opportunity to take a helicopter ride and snap some photos when it was first under construction. I discovered these again after searching my older travel drives and want to share them with you.
