Katy Real Estate News -the Magic of Nottingham Country

Katy is a gorgeous well rounded city that grew in spurts based on the Houston economy.  During the Houston boom of the late 70's and early 80's one of the most interesting and beautiful neighborhoods in Katy took shape - Nottingham Country.

An arbor of mature trees shades most streets and beautiful European style homes highlight this stunning neighborhood.  Nottingham County has a distinctive old money east coast feel.  The tree lined streets are highlighted by mature oaks that offer residents the chance for shaded evening walks even in the hottest weather.

Many of the neighborhood children can be seen walking home from the well respected Taylor High School.  The primary elementary school is also within the confines of the neighborhood and the other is a stones throw away.

A couple who want to invest sweat equity can still purchase a dated home for less than $150,000.  Some of the larger homes that have been renovated or are well maintained can sell for $400,000 or more.

However, the numbers do not tell the story.  This is a neighborhood that has a relaxing charm and a strong sense of community.  The neighborhood also boasts great amentias and honestly sits in one of the best locations in Katy (just south of I-10 and just west of Fry).

I highly recommend this neighborhood for families and west Houston relocations as it not only holds it's value but will offer the new residents an opportunity to make friends quickly and enjoy all the benefits that Katy has to offer.
