Blueberry Festival coming to Mount Dora, FL

Blueberries in Florida?? You heard right! Typically when you think Florida, you think oranges...right? Well, believe it or not, blueberries have been growing in Florida since the late 1800's. YES I said 1800's!! What better way to make it known to the world than with our own Blueberry Festival! Here are all the details you need to know:

When: Sat, April 18, 12am – Sun, April 19, 12am

Where	Evans Park, Mount Dora

About	Mount Dora Blueberry Festival to celebrate the local agricultural crop of fresh berries! Over 100 vendors. Featuring blueberry specialties, crafts and music. 9am-5pm. Blueberry Pancake Breakfast: 8-11am Blueberry Dessert Contest: Noon Blueberry Derby Race: 2pm

Will you be joining us this year at Mount Dora's First Blueberry Festival ?!?!

Can't make it? I'm so sorry to hear! But if you do get some free time, here are some local farms you can visit to pick your very own Florida Blueberries!

Hi Audrey Black , Mount Dora is a great place for any Festival. I enjoyed the years I participated in the Art festival in Mount Dora. A Blueberry Festival sounds like a good addition.

Cool! I'm moving to Portland Maine in August. They have the best Blueberries on the planet. Most people haven't had the chance to experience the really tiny blueberries that pack a ton of flavor and twice the antioxidants then the puffier fat boys most super markets sell.

Sounds wonderful. I am all for supporting local growers. Just curious how many, if any, will be organic. Hopefully we will see our system growing towards using less pesticides so our children (andparents) can enjoy all those blueberry pancakes !
