North Haven GardensNorth Haven Gardens is hosting an Herb Fest for Dallas gardeners this weekend.   Friday evening the garden center will remain open from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Staff will be sharing recipes for herbal cocktails, beginning at 5:00 PM.  The first cocktail recipe that comes to mind with herbs is a Mint Julep.   Mint grows well in Dallas.

Did you know that herbs attract butterflies?  The Staff will discuss the herbs that are irresistible to butterflies.

 Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, learn how to create your own container herb garden.  The charge for this class is $39.99 per person and includes all materials and plants.  Adults and children are welcome.

A second herb gardening class will be held at 1:30 PM  Admission to this introductory class is $34.99.

Growing herbs is a passion of mine. This year I'm helping out a friend that wants to do a market garden for the local farmer's market in a community much bigger than mine. I'm so happy. I love this kind of thing. 

I'm glad to hear that Lucia is doing well. 

Lucky is, too. He's a very happy dog. Tomorrow he will be running in the mountains. He will love it. We have bonded so well together.

One of my friends is an expert in herbs. I find them very fascinating too, but I use some only for teas.

I do a great deal of cooking at my home.  And, that cooking involves a lot of herbs and spices.  I'd love an event like the North Haven Gardens Herb Fest.
