The Park Cities Historic and Preservation Society Home Tour is April 11.
Four historic properties will be open to the public for the Park Cities Tour.
My favorite is the 1950 Mid-Century Modern home on Amherst built by Arch Swank. The home was one of four original homes built around a small lake. The enclave, referred to as Culture Gulch, was home to four families involved in the arts at SMU. The original owner of Amherst was a well loved Dallas artist who set up a studio in his home. The current owners have done a masterful job of renovating this historic home.
