Do You Like Rewards? by Bill Roberts

Do You Like Rewards?
Do you like it when the store you go to gives you rewards just for

shopping there? How many rewards programs do you belong to?
Are you able to "see" tangible results for your participation?
Is it worth the trouble?
Would you like it better if your rewards program was available at

multiple places?
To read what people don't like about their rewards program, you may

want to read this post from CNBC

I know that many of us get rewards from our credit cards and/or our

bank. But is it worth it, trying to keep up with where the rewards ARE

AVAILABLE THIS MONTH/QUARTER?
What if you could have a program where you could use it at many of

your favorite places? Use the same card for all. Only carry one card in

your wallet or on your phone. Would that interest you?
And what if it paid cash back now and more benefits later?
And, of course, it didn't cost anything to participate, and there were no

requirements for any future use of the card to keep it active?

All Over The World

What if you could use it all over the world? Would that interest you?
And if you liked the card, you could "recommend" it to your friends.

And if they used the card you would get a small reward (every time

they used it).
All of this with no cost, requirements to participate, and privacy. Your

information would only be available to those that recommended you

and no one else. The information would NEVER be "sold" to outsiders.
However, your merchants could use the information to make special

offers just for you.

And It's Goood For The Merchant Too

Does all this sound too good to be true? Well, guess what. It is true.
And if you are a merchant, you may wish to participate also. There is a

cost to become a merchant in the program, but the cost covers tools

for marketing and data base management that is worth more than it's

cost. There is no on-going management fees for the rewards program,

just the benefits given.
And the best part for the merchant is that the members of this

program are very pro-active about finding merchants that give

rewards. Your business is sure to grow.
As a merchant, you realize that is costs many times more to attract

new customers than it does to keep the ones you have.
This particular program gives you the best of both worlds. Your

advertising dollar is better spent giving rewards than trying to find

those elusive "new" customers. Let them find you. And then only pay

when they come in and buy. You don't have to pre-pay for advertising

that may or may not attract new customers.
Best of all, if you give the card to your existing customers you will be

rewarded when they shop at all the other merchants that are part of

the network anywhere in the world. And there are already thousands of

places that accept the card.

BTW, I am a licensed real estate broker. For the past 20 years or so I

have specialized in the sale of business opportunities. In California

(where I am) only real estate brokers and attorneys can sell

businesses. I also have degree in Finance. The economics and day-

to-day operation of small business is my forte. I recommend this

loyalty program to almost all small businesses as a "no brainer." It can

actually pay more than it costs. I have testimonials to this.

As a matter-of-fact the program is SO GOOD that I would consider

starting a business just so I could participate as a merchant.

Please just give me a good price.

I like to shop sales.  I can see the value in a price reduction in a store.

I don't want to spend my life keeping up with points, rewards, etc.

Time is money and I control that.

Bill- I'm with Lenn.  Oh yes, I love perks and surprises but bottom line is the value of the product.  When someone asks me if I want to apply for some kind of special shopper card, I tell them that if that means that I have to carry around another card, then no.

I like cash back on my credit card purchases. Merchants have raised prices to cover the additional cost of their credit card processing so might as well get a piece of that back for yourself.

Bill - I have some rewards but it hasn't been a deal maker for me.  I have a large amount on American Express that one day I hope to use for a vacation.

Grant, What would it take to become a "deal maker?" It has become a deal maker for me because I roll my benefits over and I now have over $3,000,000 for the future.

Hi Bob, Yes, it is working for me, but only because I know how to work the program. Anyone could have the same results.
