How Do You Know it is Time to Get a

New Lap Top?

I am having some issues with my lap top. Some of the buttons don't print when pressed. My cursor moves all over the place so that some of my typed words are stuck on the line above or in the beginning of the sentence.

I hit enter and a sentence else where is highlighted for what ever reason.

I think I need a new lap top.... so when is it time to go ahead and get a new one. This one is about five years old.

Good morning Sussie. Yes, it sounds like you are ready. Go MAC, they are better and last longer.

I would try to do some adjustments first using a BIG hammer. If that does not work you will need a new one. LOL

Debbie Laity Yes! I am using a mouse and I will get a new one and see if that helps.

Sheila Anderson I have lots of choices to make now.

Rob D. Shepherd   I love the idea of using a hammer!

Honestly I'm surprised it lasted Five years. Technology and longevity don't go hand in hand. I'd say it's time for a upgrade!

Good morning Sussie. I change my laptop every two to three years, it is getting to be that time for me as well.

Sussie, there are many times I take my laptop to write an offer, or to a listing presentation.   I want to look like I stay on top of technology, so buy a new one every other year.

Susie - if it 5 years old it is time for a new one.  Although the cause could be related to a virus.

In my case last year, I had to get one because my 'old' one (only 3.5 to 4 years old) died one day.  I have no idea why it did but I had to buy a new one.  I hated having to learn Windows 8, though which was not that easy to learn... especially when you're in a bind for time.

I don't think my last one lasted two years.  I got a macbook pro this last time.

Every two years for a PC and every five years for a MAC. I recommend at MacBookPro with solid state memory.
