A day of differences in Utah
After an insignificant winter with only a little snow in December, I must have become complacent in assuming we had successfully avoided winter while much of the country suffered in various ways. Snow on the mountains but mainly sunshine with temps reaching the high 70s, a truly easy winter.
Today was get even time. Sunshine and 60s in the morning. Then semi tipping winds from shifting directions (my high van battled hours of it, and heaps of dust). Accidents and road closures. Rain greeting a trip to an evening appointment ~ for a mile or so. Then snow, more snow - huge flakes. Followed by a blizzard to top it off, with a great temperature drop. (Gloves and coats had been put away months ago. Later fog making finding even familiar roads difficult.
Definitely a semi-terrific Utah day. A warning not to plant the veggies before the usual Mother's Day mark.
We are sure to be back to sunshine again tomorrow.
