The Easiest Way to Wow People With Your Blog Photos

Let's face it, people are visual. Even though we're taught not to judge a book by it's cover, when you see something that catches your eye, aren't you more likely to click on it?

I know I am.

That's why I decided to up my game a bit on my own blog over at The Property Copy Co. I wanted to make my blog photos a bit more eye catching. And I wanted the photos to be able to do double duty.

Now, I can use my photos at the top of my blog posts as well as on all my social media.

I actually wrote this post right here on ActiveRain. But, I didn't do much to really make the photo pop, here's what I had originally:

That photo illustrated that I was talking about stock photos in tandem with the post I wrote. But clearly it wouldn't be able to stand on it's own to gain much interest.

So, I decided to make the photo not only apply to the post, but make it so I could promote it via Twitter. Here it is:

See the differece?

Here's another example. I wrote a post here on ActiveRain about using Facebook video, and quite a few people checked it out, but it was a big whiff on the photo I posted at the time.

Yes, it conveys "social media" in general, but not much about Facebook video. So once again, back to the drawing board.

Here's what I created instead:

It's pretty easy to see the difference, right? This photo really pops and was perfect to share on my social media.

The good news, creating photos like this is quick and easy. Just the other day I spent about 30 minutes and got 5-6 great blog and social media photos to replace the boring ones I have on my site.

Want to know more?

Stay tuned, tomorrow I will show you exactly how I make these :)
