In 2014 Hispanic home ownership increase by 54,000 units according to the Nation Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. The number of Hispanic household owners units was 6,810,000 in 2014.

It's projected that home-ownership among Hispanic should grow to 120 Million units by 2050.

The language barrier is a common problem. Spanish speaking Realtors, Loan Officers and Attorneys are in demand to help with this large group of Buyers and Sellers. Limited experience, language barrier could be adding to confusion in the buying and selling process.

In many markets, there are two reason buyers are finding it hard to find Affordable Homes. First of all, Inventory shortages. One reason for the shortages is foreclosure or property in some state of foreclosure process. Many homes are just sitting vacant. Secondly, home seller may be in a negative equity situation. These Sellers may want to sell their home but simply can't.

In order to help Hispanic Buyers and Sellers, consider a Realtor who a history of helping the Hispanic Real Estate community and who is Bilingual. Yes, I speak Spanish and also the Loan Officers and Closing Agents. Both my parents were Spanish, so I understand Spanish speaking people.

This is important information. We have many Spanish speaking agents in our area and there are opportunities for even more.

If I were recruiting agents, I would approach some recent law school graduates that speak Spanish. Law practice opportunities are more limited than in the past.

Good morning Frank,

Paul S. Henderson is right..this is an impressive call to action. We do have Spanish speaking agents which certainly help..many Spanish buyers are trying to learn English which benefits them so much in assimilating into our culture and they are to be applauded!
