Building a Custom Bluestone Home - Part 7

Although the blessed rain has slowed the Bluestone Home project in Rockwall Ranch somewhat, the house is coming along nicely. Wallas textured and cabinets goin in. Paint to start Monday, and exterior continues to look better each day. The exterior stone has a wonderful array of color in it to provide a nice pallette for the owner to work with in the future if they decide to change anything.

Here a few recent pics to show the progress:

Note the AC ducts coming in from the ceiling. There is a dedicated 1 ton unit that will cool and heat the porch to allow for true year round outdoor living. The engineer says it will allow for comfortable outdoor exposure and have a simple on/off for when it's not needed or not in use. Of course, an owner might choose to enclose the patio in the future and the HVAC is already in place, saving a bundle!

This is the office looking at the doorway and the two large closets. Both have reinforced shelves to hold heavy loads of paper records, and they are both large enough to remove the shelves if on owner wanted to put a safe in either one as well.

Almost there, can't wait to see the interior painted! More next week for sure!

Tim, its an awesome experience following a new home from start to finish.  You've have to put it all to video and fast forward when everything's done.  Best wishes!
