Mobile Friendly Real Estate Websites... Google Is Watching.

By
Real Estate Agent with MOOERS REALTY ME Broker License 106759

If 57% of real estate buyers were holding portable devices to access your property listing, area information, you quickly realize the importance of mobile friendly websites.

Google and the army of bots to search and elevate or push down in the ranks. Has issued the decree. Make it mobile friendly by the deadline of April 21st, yesterday. Or suffer the consequences people. mobile friendly real estate website screen shot

Sobering. But pretty simple to swallow.

If your website is not mobile friendly you are losing real estate property buying customers.

Making it like NASCAR racing round and round.

With all those left hand tight turns.

At break your neck, gravity defying high speeds.

Suddenly like someone pulled the plug. Yanked a vital  wire or two.

With everything that was a blur around you  now winding down. Becoming much slower in your delivery of real estate information.

Because your non mobile friendly website, blog platform, video channel, whatever media stream has a big four barrel carburetor throttle restrictor plate welded, bolted, slapped on it. Like it or not.

Chaining it down, losing vital horsepower. Like letting air out of four big slick tires. To become pancake flat. Causing wind drag damage in the drafting performance.mobile friendly real estate website screen shot graphic

Not earning you a "say cheese, smile" spot in the winner's circle with waving black and white checkered flags.

Not switching hats of your sponsors as you drink whoever backs your racing program around the NASCAR circuits.

That sponsored you, have a high speed decal, on your car.

An embroidered matching patch on your color coordinated race suit.

No visit to shake up the bubbly to spray all over the pit crew.

After your dirt flinging, eye stinging spin your name in the grass ritual.

Across the pavement with whatever you are driving to win, place, show. Followed by your reverse handstand off the driver's side door for the cheering hot, slightly intoxicated crowd. With heat and sun stroke. Suffering from too many barley pops, the adult grape drinks or jungle juice.video logo you tube

Mobile users for real estate information are way way different than your sit behind the desk tops ones.

They need snacks, finger food of small bites of information. To munch on like low hanging fruit for easy pickings on small hand held feature limited devices.

Mobile friendly video websites for on demand, open house show and tell. That is one often neglected, most misunderstood tool as well. But highly memorable, one slick and easy to maneuver way to get the real estate property listings delivered to the almighty target audiences.

Remember, 90% of mobile users climb on the Internet for making their real estate buying decisions. Help make sure they don't hit and run, flit because your website is not mobile friendly.

So like a naked sport bike, where it has the power, but minus all the chrome, bells, whistles.

Just cut to the chase with the meat and potatoes. Keep it simple, speed of thought quick. So they can pick up, head to the real estate check out for the hit and run, we're done. We less clicks to get there distractions or oh no, we went down the wrong rabbit trail, a box canyon.

Is your real estate website mobile friendly?

Is it sporting a responsive website design? With the rough endges, sharp corners polished off to be unrestrictive in your marketing stream? The real estate website you put out there better not be clunky. Folks should be able to spot it easily, pick up the navigation method quickly.

So from all four corners of the blue and green marble here we go, you're always idling, ready and waiting. If they are after real estate property for sale information at all hours of the day or night, no matter what their location.

Andy, Gutted our WP site a bit over a year ago to implement a true responsive theme vs. a plug in, so no worries there.  An older site we have isn't great on mobile, and neither are the AR Outside Blogs.  In either case, those I either can't fix myself or aren't worth me trying to fix.

Liz and Bill Spear ... The best producers of your sites, feed those, give those the most attention. You do play favorites and reward with the marketing children. don't neglect, overlook video for lots of reasons beyond the SEO spike, the ease of use.

Andrew

If our website is not mobile friendly . . . . it won't work for Google and it won't work for the consumers.

Good luck and success.

Hi Andrew.  The 800 pound gorilla deciding what will make up SEO and what won't.  Wonderful.

I was ready, but so far I haven't seen any major changes in traffic on my sites.

Conrad Allen ... Can't beat 'em, join 'em and still beats crazy high charges of the portals where everyone crowd together, herd in. When stand alone and get all the attention, organic is where you want to weed, feed, water.

Gabe Sanders ... If you had not gone mobile as the Who sang, you would the other way. It was to keep the status quo and not drop...those who did not will see loss of placement like a NACAR driver in the top three heading back to 21... eventually 41 if they don't keep adjusting the dials, turning the wrenches.

I posed a question in the Q&A section to see if anyone is seeing a hit or increase in their traffic.

Gabe Sanders ... Think of it causing the steady flow of traffic and not losing any. That can be the target. But as sites that don't keep up, it leads to more exposure because you do. This is an ever changing moving target. Love this job, the people.

Great blog, Mr A and I DO like the bus. (As in Good to Great or The Hedghog Concept, are the right people on the bus and in the right seats?)

I made it just in time, Andrew. Thanks to some spammers (well, not really, but those plugging for my website business) and I had to contact my web designer. $400 later, it's mobile friendly. I KNOW, but I couldn't make it happen myself, otherwise, I would have done that free-of-charge!

I definitely don't want to lose my longterm ranking that I've spent years creating.

Hi Michael - On April 7th, I wrote a post about the importance of having a mobile-responsive site.  Good to see you're helping to pass the word on.
