Today was the day that a dog named Chico was going to be my fourth. It isn't happening and I am sad because the delay didn't have to be. When I first met this rescue who was pulled from a New York Shelter where he was going to be euthanized, it was clear he was not well. He had little resemblance to his posted picture and his weight was down, his skin bad and he had an open wound above his eye. The next day I got a call saying he had ringworm.
From that time until now he was altered, had a heart-worm test and a rabies shot. I was told he didn't have ringworm but because there was conflicting information and I have other pets I insisted he have a Vet do a skin scrap to be sure. I was told that happened, but yesterday was advised it did not. Long story short, the organization that has him and or their Vets are playing games and this sweet pup is suffering because of it. I'm hoping now that the appropriate test happen. I'm told the results will take 8 days. That puts his future with me into May. I guess we'll see.
