Client Gift for Big City Real Estate Agents

Education & Training with

While doing my last post on papers and pens of note (pun intended!)... I found something serendipidious over on the Moleskine notebook site... I found city notebooks described as:

Moleskine City Notebooks

"The exciting new Moleskine City Books are a special guidebook for major cities around the world, ideal for those who travel, whether to see the sights or for work, as a way of organizing your trip and to preserve it for your memory and your records. Perfect for those who live there, as a way of organizing the things they know and need about the city they live in." -

(The above information/description and image was taken directly from their website). And it occurred to me that this would be the PERFECT gift for a relocation client coming into one of the metro areas covered by these products. It would beat the socks off of most "run of the mill" thank you gifts. And it's the little touches that are memorable.

These little books weigh in at well under $20 (and run under $17 if you buy more than one), so they are tax deductible. And they are available for these US cities: Boston, Washington DC, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Seattle. They offer others for great cities in other countries (in case you need a great gift for a friend or family member planning a trip).

Yeah, I love moleskines -- but these go a step beyond the type I've ever had. How cool! If I were selling real estate in one of these areas, I'd buy a stock of them to have on hand.

In our area there is a program with our local magazine for Realtors to give a gift subscription and every month the magazine is sent "compliments of" on the cover.

Here's another for the NY area. has gift baskets with toolkits, dustpan and broom, batteries, etc. -- and New York Zagat and subscription to NY Magazine -- imagine, weekly reminders of your thoughtfulness and great service! Cool stuff, and quality -- not the stuff you find in a dollar store. Good luck!
