This is hardly new news, but it never hurts to have a reminder. A no texting while driving law is now in effect in the Florida Keys. US Highway 1, which runs from Key Largo to Key West, is our main road and is mostly two lanes. It is especially important that drivers not be distracted while driving on this road. 23% of all car accidents every year involve cell phone use while driving which equates to about 1.3 million crashes. So avoid distractions and keep your eyes on the road!

I cannot understand how this is such a hard LAW to enforce.

The only thing I can figure is that, for survivors, the punishment is not sufficiently severe.
