Today’s Word with John Maxwell is Relentless

I absorb a lot of advice every day in my pursuit to be the best that I can be.

Some of this advice comes from friends in the rain, some from people in my office, some from leaders and teachers around the world.

Today I will share a little advice from a well-read teacher who I really enjoy and like to learn from, John Maxwell.

Every Friday when I check my email, there is a little reminder video from John Maxwell of some snippet of advice to think about.

A recent word of the day that John shared is Relentless.

Being relentless is essential for success in any endeavor, in school, in business, in relationships, in life.

Have you cut the word “quit” out of your dictionary yet, how about the word “can't”?

Good Monday morning Bob Crane -

I learned a long time ago do not let the word quit even creep into the thought process.  It will take you down quickly.  Thanks for the reminder and make it a great week ahead.

Great word! sometimes we are relentless in our efforts to adhere to problems rather than solve them.

Bob, I don't often use the word quit or can't. I have also eliminated "should" as it's based in guilt!

Bob Crane that word is a great one to keep in mind, maybe even a mantra. If it was easy, everybody would do "it".

Bob I often use the word 'determined' because that's what I am - determined which is relentless too.  Stay warm in New York this week!

A few months ago, I'd started blogging, usually on Tuesday (my Toastmaster day) about "word of the day".

I've slipped from that, but you & John Maxwell may nudge me back.

Let me admit, when I think of myself being "relentless", that's a positive attribute.

When I tell my dog he's being relentless, then not so much a positive.
