Build The Walls Habitat For Humanity Event June 6, 2015 Mason Ohio
If you hit your thumb with the hammer you're going to have to keep those four letter words to yourself because you'll be joining the congregation of Christ's Church at Mason for this event!! As a real estate agent I love the fact that one of our church's MANY community support activities includes a Habitat for Humanity event called Build The Walls. This year, we're going to build the walls for SIX homes to go up in Cincinnati's Price Hill community. PRETTY COOL!! Last year the walls went to Oklahoma to build dorms for a Christian children's home, and other years the walls we build may stay local or travel half the country to their final destination.
And frankly it's an amazing event to participate in! Well organized thanks to build team leaders and the work of the cut teams that prep all the lumber the night before. This event takes hundreds of people who are NOT carpenters and brings them together and literally in a matter of a 1/2 day, the walls will be built and staged on trucks to transport to the new homes to be. We'll start around 7:30 a.m. Saturday June 6th and some time aroun 1 p.m. we'll be all wrapped up!
Tips: wear gloves, the parking lot is kind of hard, so knee pads for protection aren't a bad idea, and maybe a dose of Advil isn't a bad idea either for those of us that aren't used to swinging a hammer for hours!
Obviously, the more people we have, the quicker the work gets done! And you don't have to be a member of Christ's Church at Mason to volunteer (although we will ask you to register for the event on our church website). 
- 70 volunteers as Crew Leaders for the Saturday build
- 60 volunteers for Cut Session 9 - 5 pm June 5th

700+ volunteers for Build Session 7:30 - 2 Saturday June 6th
- 15+ volunteers for Breakfast Team 6:30 - 9 June 6th, setup and serving of coffee & pastries
- 20+ volunteers for Hospitality Team, 9 - 2 June 6th, serve coffee, water & snacks (We'll have COOOOOOKIES!!!!)

Bring your own hammer, all other equipment provided! Again, you don't have to be a church member to participate, ALL are welcome!
