Rain in Southern California is a Welcome Site for Most

Rain in Southern California is a Welcome Site for Most

Yesterday we had a rain storm that came in slow but dropped over 1/2 inch within 4 hours. It was a happy site as the hills will stay green longer and I turned off my sprinkers for the next 5 days.

The poor birds were trying to take cover during the unexpected rain storm. Even after the storm this poor bird sayed under the tree for hours.

But the hummingbirds were happy and out buzzing and dancing in the air.

Thanks for Reading my Real Estate Blog......and I'm thankful for the rain.

Kristin, I always love your photos.  How wonderful that you got some much needed rain.  Dallas has been in a welcome rainy weather pattern for weeks now.  Like you, we need every drop we can get to fill our lakes.

Hi Michele Cadogan

It was a miracle and everything is still wet today. We are in fire season so we must keep bushes and weeds trimmed and hope for more rain.

Hi, Kristin...I'm so glad you received some rain. I hope you have more in the forecast. We are still getting wet here in Western Colorado.

It's certainly good news, Kristin. Love the photos!

We had some on Friday as we were leaving the area for Phoenix, and I believe there was some more on Saturday. Not a lot, but every little but helps.

Love to watch the hummingbirds dart about the desert lilac tree in my front yard ... but I have yet to catch a photo. That's a rare treat!

Hi Jeff Dowler CRS

We ended up getting 1/2 inch of rain which is remarkable for April. You must have taken the rain with you as I heard Phonix was hit with a storm.

Hi John Novak

I had to buy a new camera to get good pictures. I use a Cannon EOS Rebel. I bought it at Costco a few years ago and it has made me so happy with the quality of pictures I get. How's my buddy Aaron doing?

Phoenix got their rain, and a thunderstorm, before we arrived Friday late afternoon. I think we got more rain in Carlsbad but I was not around to enjoy it

Hi Jeff Dowler CRS

We were all real surprised for the heavy rains in Southern California. I hate when I miss the rain as it makes me happy

Hi Kristin, That's great that there was good cover for that bird.  Is that a holly bush/tree?

Hope your summer is going well!

Hi Gloria Todor

It is an ornamental cherry tree. They are getting so big now after one year. They set below the fence line on a slope and they are now just over the top of the fence so next year they should really take off. I bought them specifically because our old neighbor had 3 in his yard and all the birds took shelter there. I thought they would be a nice shady trees and serve as homes for many.
