You hear all sorts of stories about "sightings" around town, Tammy Lankford . I did see Scott Hamilton the skater just walking around at one of our many downtown festivals. That was cool.

It was so unexpected Noah Seidenberg . In the first year here our church (it's big, 3000 members) cancelled the Sunday services because we had a dusting of snow! Nothing like the Chicago area that's for sure.

OH, Tom, how I've MISSED your posts like this! Filled with funny...I am not a country music fan (but, oh GEEZ, my hubby is--that's all he would listen to if I didn't command the satellite radio in our home) and yet I DO recognize the name. I can't recall what he looks like, tho. I know, like you, SOOOOO uninformed! 

Loved the rundown of local yokal stuff...but I have to say that wearing a sports jacket with jeans is an Oregonian thing, too and some parts of CA as well!

Well, my wife ... a HUGE country music fan for years and years ... might debate you regarding the level of this Star's .. star.  She's more of traditional country fan.  If you'd told her it was Alan Jackson, Marty Stuart, or Del McCoury in front of you ... you'd have really had her attention!

Great story, Tom. I love Jason Aldean's music but wouldn't know him if I saw him. That was a nice aspect of living near Nashville...the musicians would do their thing and really not get bothered.
