Selling Your Home the Right Way

Listing homes can be a numbers business for many home sale agents...many potential clients just want to hear who will sell their house at the highest price Wickford Village - Wickford RI Harborpoint (even when it is not possible) while others want to know what kind of discount you will give to them on the sale.


 It always amazes me that all these 'house improvement' shows have rarely shown the 'true sense' of real estate business.  In fact, they are fiction since I have been approached to participate and told the low down on them.  My goal is to always do the right thing in sales price for my Rhode Island clients.

It does not mean I will tell you an unrealistic high price to sell your house at and it does not mean I will cut my fee to gain the sale in RI real estate.  It does not happen with me.  Instead I will give you an 'ever present' (as one of my luxury clients has told me I am) sales agent who will represent your house with the most information and marketing talents available.  No other RI realtor markets online as I do for my clients.  That is a fact that can be easily seen by Googling me and my business for home sellers.
So when you, as a potential listing client, tell me after 3 months of interviewing that I am one of two finalists, what do you want me to say.  Yet, there is a 'but'.  The other agent is willing to cut their fee to but not offer you the marketing and push I do.  
A seller's comfort zone must be attained by them alone, if the fee paid to an agent is a driving force, well I always say ultimately you get what you pay for.  All I can do is smile at this point.  I am not a discount brokerage and above all else represent my clients truly in all aspects of a transaction and after the fact.

Ginny I get the same thing when it comes to interest rates.  The Borrower might feel more comfortable with me, BUT the other guy is offering an interest rate 1/8 lower.  What they are not looking at is that the other guys closing costs are higher because he is including the 1/8 in them.

I just took over a listing from someone who has done no marketing for his client. He is not a listing agent and never communicated with them through the listing. I guessed why they called him and never called me in the beginning? They thought the market was so hot they wouldn't need much more than a sign in the yard and it listed in the MLS..which is all he offered for a nominal amount. Guess what it didn't work!

Hi Ginny: I was interviewed once and the basis of the selection is the fee on top of all the marketing questions and requirements: Open House, Broker's Open, Print Ads, and the list goes on.

I can tell it would not be worth it as the price of the house is $120K and the sellers' demands were just too much.

I just said upfront that I will be happy to do the print ads if they pay for it and stuck with my fee--no discount.

I was not surprised that I did not get chosen. Was I glad? Very much so.
