Can Objects Really Change The Energy of Your Home, Office Space and Life?
Some say objects in Feng Shui are just "Knick-Knacks." They are said to be inanimate objects that the Eastern world uses as symbols to represent protection, wealth and harmony and Westerners took the objects and coined them as Feng Shui.
High Holy Master Professor Lin Yun taught his students that all objects (whether they seem inanimate or not) hold energy that gives "life" to them. Does this mean life as in breathing and moving? No.
Professor Lin Yun introduced Feng Shui to America back in the 1970's teaching the spirituality of Feng Shui while also taking into account the use of objects to make Feng Shui easier to comprehend. During that time period with human collective consciousness, people where not ready to hear those in depth teachings. But now, we are coming into a time period where spiritual discussion is more acceptable so we can venture a bit further.
Take a look at your own cultural and ancestral practices (Irish, Jewish, African, Native American, Philippine, South American, German, Muslim, etc). One could ask, why do these cultures and practices of faith do what they do? Why does a Catholic priest use certain ceremonial instruments when baptizing a baby? When do we hang certain symbols that offer sacred meaning (such as protection) by our front and/or back doors? Why do we eat or not eat certain foods on certain days (holidays).
To say objects are not important in the process of transformation with the teachings of Feng Shui, is to negate the importance with training the mind to eventually realize you do not need objects. This is a step by step process. Objects are simply borrowed reminders and motivators to help you ascend to your highest potential of positive change in life. They are our training tools as human beings, whether you call it Feng Shui or not. From our childhood we began the process of ascending by learning about attachment and un attachment with toys, gifts, etc. This continues into our adult hood with objects that have emotional attachments to past relationships across all realms of our life.
As we let go of the old, we make rooms for the new. That is the connection physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. There is no black and white description of Feng Shui (energy work), you are working with the seen and unseen "realities."
The following that I share is coming from my own personal first hand experience utilizing these principles, paired with additional studies on energy, etc. I am never denouncing or putting down, just offering another perspective to the conversation.
