What is the best thing to do in your home area?

Hi Roy -- this would be a great contest idea.  

There's so much to discover in my area --- from the somewhat ordinary(by California standards) to absolutely fabulous and beyond.

Roy, there are a few places that are especially nice to visit in my area but I guess if I had to choose among those closest to me, I'd have to say it would be visiting Flamingo Gardens in Davie.  I've been there multiple times and haven't tired of it.

Ski, hike, snowboard, kayak, white water raft, bouldering, rock climbing, tour a ghost town, see some pretty majestic sites, visit the Sand dunes, climb a fourteener...

Just a few of the MANY things to do here in beautiful Colorado!

It would be difficult to choose just one.  Here in Sacramento, there is Old Sacramento, The California Railroad Museum, Sutter's Fort, The Capitol Building, and a plethora of other delightful places.  

Within 100 miles we have San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Napa Wine Country, and a collection of several California Gold Rush Towns.

Which I would choose on any given day, would depend on whether the moon was full, and if the stars were aligned!

Roy Kelley ....I would have to say that it would be ....heading downtown and finding a great quaint place to have dinner ....our downtown is growing as we speak and it's a great place to spend the evening!

I think the best thing to do in Elkhart County is visit all the quilt gardens.

Aah, it is funny I read your blog tonight about Brookside Garden, Roy.  I just got off the phone with a client on a Brookside house here looking for their repair request wishes...cracking the whip at this late hour!

We are lucky to have too much things to do and places to visit in Los Angeles. I love opera, ballet, art shows, museums, or something very simple like hiking or walking on the beach.

Hi Roy.  I would suggest that the first thing they do in Stuart FL is to visit our beaches and rivers.

Oh where do I start..we are lucky to have all season weather, which offers so many options, on tons of  lakes!
