Deep Ellum Pop-Up Park Through May 2

By
Real Estate Agent with United Real Estate Dallas TREC# 0544069
This weekend is the perfect opportunity to Explore Deep Ellum.  Crowdus Street, between Elm Street and Main Street, has become a "Pop-Up Park."  This welcome gathering space will remain in place through May 2, 2015, to draw attention to the growing interest in creating urban parks. Programming at the Crowdus Street Pop-Up Park will include live music, evening films and delicious food. The film Napoleon Dynamite, will be shown on Thursday evening.  For a complete schedule of events visit the Crowdus Park "Pop-Up-Plaza" Facebook page.

While you are walking around Deep Ellum, drop by Stonedeck Pizza, one of my favorite pizza restaurants for a slice or a whole pie. You won't be disappointed!  The Staff is as amazing as the pizza!

Debbie Reynolds This event was a tremendous success.  In the olden days, this was a neighborhood of jazz clubs.  Over the years it has morphed into a combination of great restaurants, and wonderful music venues.  Over the last decade, builders have created all types of housing opportunities in the area.

Regina, you are so right!  Neighbors loved the gathering place that was created.

Paula, this is a very artistic community.  It attracts film makers, musicians and artists.

Sally there are some wonderful photos taken by participants in the live links.  The event was well received and a reminder that cities need more gathering places for residents.
