Let's Start with the Can Lights In the Kitchen

There is nothing wrong with acting as your own contractor when doing a kitchen remodel or improvement. If you know the process, you can save a some money in completing the project. I was asked to help out this homeowner in getting some can lights installed. This is what it looked like after day one, our portion was wrapped up the next day.

Nothing like plenty of light in the kitchen!  My first home had one small ceiling fixture and it was always so dark.

I think can lights are attractive. In my old age I find that I prefer brighter lighting in the important places like the kitchen and bathrooms. What would you suggest?

Your portion, apparently on top of the fridge, looks like nuts and crackers, but I can't tell what's in the big jar.

Well, no matter.  I hope your portion is enough.

I have 10 can lights in my kitchen in addition to the island pendant and the undercabinet lighting. Gotta have good lighting in the kitchen.
