You Might Be From Phoenix, (And Possibly A Native) If…..
Your favorite summer pastime is floating the Salt River in an inner tube with a six pack.
The names of your favorite restaurants start with El or Los.
You have multiple outdoor grills, BBQ’s and/or smokers.
For eight months of the year your back patio is also your dining room.
You complain about the humidity any time it passes 20%.
You believe all professional sports stadiums should have roofs.
At least one of your family vehicles has “desert pinstriping”.
You can correctly pronounce Saguaro, Gila, Canyon de Chelly, Mogollon, Cholla, Ajo, Dos Cabezas and San Xavier.
You were a member of the NRA before you graduated grade school.
You can’t remember the last time you saw or heard a mosquito.
You can swear in both English and Spanish.
You believe that wasting water is a criminal act for which they should bring back stocks and public whippings.
You get a lump in your throat when you hear Rex Allen Jr. sing “I Love You Arizona”.
And you never get tired of watching those glorious Phoenix sunsets.
There are probably a hundred more “ifs” I could share but many have already been thoroughly covered by several of my peers.
I love Arizona and I love the Valley of the Sun and to quote a famous resident “it suits me right down to the ground”.
If you think you’d like living in a place that has more than 300 days of cloudless sunshine, more than 100 world class golf courses, is home to every conceivable outdoor lifestyle, (ocean surfing being one possible exception) then you might be a Phoenician in the making. Give me a call and let’s talk about it.
