Are you taking advantage of your eEdge Contact Management System?

One of the things I am noticing as I do classes at our Hendersonville, NC Keller Williams office is that almost nobody is using the Contact management system they all have access to in their back office. Other eEdgecompanies are using Market Leader's eEdge system as well. I am guessing I would find the same in their back office.

So today I want to share some of the advantages you have access to that will make your life so much easier if you just use the system.

#1- Upload and keep updated every contact you have. Your eEdge system is made to track everyone you know. Upload spread sheets, enter by hand, bribe your kids to help if need be. Whatever it takes, get them in there.

#2- User the COMMENT BOX under their address and add all pertinant information you can before you forget anything. The more you know the more you sound like you care. Met someone in the grocery store and had a nice chat? They gave you their card? Immediately enter it in your contact system and in the comment box enter everything you can remember about what you talked about. Next time you contact them, you can say, "How is your son's football going?" They will be impressed that you care.

#3- Use the REMINDER function under the email/reminder tab or in the persons contact card. Almost nobody seems to know this even exsists, but to me it is one of the most important functions of the system. Take that new contact you just met in the grocery store and set a reminder to call them and touch base in two weeks or 30 days and reconnect! Using the reminder system ensures that you never lose a contact, they will never fall through the cracks as long as you continue to reset them for another contact each time you touch base.

#4- Put every single person into a group. Managing everyone by group helps to locate lost peeps, or to set a day of calling.

These are just a few of the ways you can use the contact management system within your eEdge back office. There are so many ways to use this system, and each step assists you in growing your business. Carolyn, It really is a goldmine. The old saying Your Database is Your Business is never more true. Taking care of your people in an organized system is crucial.

As a CRM system, eEdge is great!! Some agents are still looking for the lead generation use of eEdge past - meaning craigslist automation. That system simply does not exist anymore. For managing contacts, this is a great place to work out of.
