Exploring Central Park In New York City During The Spring Time

Who doesn't love New York City during the Spring Time?! I'll admit, usually I am in a mad dash to get out  of NYC after a consultation or event, but when Spring comes around and the temperature is at a perfect 75, trees are blooming and NYC has a peaceful atmosphere, I am more then happy to kick around. After the Feng Shui Tour I provided, I wondered into Central park.

I had no agenda but to just relax and enjoy. I treated myself to some mild rock climbing on the "Big Rock."

Some of the local children found a new way to get down the rock by riding it like a slide, ouch!

For free, I was able to watch a men and women softball league go head to head. There were home-runs, great hits, amazing diving catches as well. This game was so good and entertain people walking the paths stopped and came to watch. The game was a double header, so I made sure to pick up lunch at a hot dog stand, steps away from the field. Not to mention, you have an amazing view of the New York City skyline.

And you can not forget about the NY city sun bathers. When they come out, you know Summer is just around the corner.

Be sure to check out Central Park during your next visit and just allow yourself to be present in all the activities going on. In fact, perhaps be part of it by having a picnic or riding your bike.

Beautiful pictures Laura! I've only been to New York City once and it was winter and very cold.  I really need to get back in the spring or summer!

Thanks for sharing your photographs.

Have you read the novels by Linda Fairstein?  Her crime novels include much about the history of various locations in New York City, including Central Park.

Hey all, thank you for commenting! Roy, I have not but I can check that out :) Thank you.

Gita, Love the city in the Spring :)

Nestor and Katerina, I did, it was great to allow the mind to rest and just be present in the calm central park action of the day.

Rebecca, next time be sure to check out CP, so worth the visit.

Georgina, ooo that would have been a great photo! Next time ;)

Michele, same here. When I have a client aroud this area, and the sun is shining, I make it a point to stroll with in the park.

Johnny, ask if you can stay with your cousin and check NYC out, it's a great place

Sharon, NYC has much to offer during winter time as well, but it's a whole new ballgame and experience during Spring time :)

Lou, amazing history in central park :)

David, I agree. I tend to avoid the city during the peak times in Summer.
