When Was the Last Time You Visited Lodi, California?

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

I've been griping to my husband that we needed to visit Lodi ever since Myrl posted her photos of Lodi, because Myrl is my inspiration for fun places to go from Sacramento. She's always tripping out of town somewhere amusing, and Lodi is no exception. We couldn't leave a week ago because that was the day we needed to do blood curves for our diabetic cat, which means we have to be home all day. But this last Sunday was a perfect day to get away for a few hours and also to visit a winery in Lodi I've been meaning to check out.

You can read more and see all of the photos in my personal blog today about our Sacramento Getaway to Lodi.

I haven't been to Lodi for wine tasting yet Elizabeth and I'm about as close as you are just in the opposite direction. However I did manage to make it to Plymouth in Amador county twice last month. That was my first and second experience tasting in Amador county. Ripken winery in Lodi is now on my list of places to try.

I've been to Plymouth, Jim Patton so ha ha. Just not Lodi before. It was very peaceful driving down Sargeant Road through miles and miles of vineyards, and astonishingly close to Sacramento. I actually had no idea. My idea of leaving my city limits is to get on a plane.

I'm so glad you and Adam made this jaunt down Highway 99 to Lodi.  I am amazed how much the town has changed in the last decade.  I think you'll agree, Lodi isn't such a bad place to be stuck in.  It's no longer John Fogerty's experience!

Hi Elizabeth.  I have never been to Lodi.  So you met the family of four with six teeth between them.

Elizabeth, you and your husband do need to plan a trip to Lodi, get out of town, and experience a new winery!

Myrl Jeffcoat Well, I have you to thank for suggesting the experience. You know me, I just follow you around and go where you have been. :)

The rest of you guys, you mean to tell me you did not listen to Creedence Clearwater Rival growing up or that you don't remember any of the words to that song?

Petite Sirah is one of my favorite types of red wine.  Glad you enjoyed your day in Lodi.  Fun to have a day trip every now and then.
