Changes in the HUD form

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX BEACH HOME REALTY

Today I attended a seminar for real estate agents regarding the upcoming changes in the HUD form as we know it.  Certainly the mortgage industry and the title industry will have the most changes to deal with.  Here is a link for the Consumer Financial Protection Agency with some of the forms and what they will look like:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/knowbeforeyouowe/#disclosure  Bottom line is everything will have to be given to the lender well in advance so they can get the Closing Disclosure out to all parties in a timely fashion.  If not, expect the closing to be delayed until this can happen.

We had one of those seminars Geraldine "Gerri" Rescigno last month. Appears that things will take effect August.

Gerri - One thing we can count on in the real estate industry is change. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for these new forms and new process to be understood by everyone.
