This morning I am taking my three pups to the Vets for their annual Bordetella Intranasal shots. I am traveling later this month and Chico should be here tomorrow. This afternoon I expect the blind guy to install the new shades for my skylights. The originals were stained with the ice damming early this year.
The afternoon will be spent making sure my home is ready for Chico, the new rescue dog who has been healing from his time in the New York City animal system and then with dozens of cats a two big dogs in upstate New York. I have completed the rock border at the base of my fence in the yard. I bought new beds and toys for all and stocked up on food and treats. The first few days are difficult when a new dog comes: both on the new one who is afraid and confused, and on the existing ones who don't want another, period. I have been here before and while anxious I am excited too. Stay tuned...........
