St.Augustine Ramblings

With so many events going on simultaneously in St, Augustine, it's a challenge to decide what to do, which to pick, where to go, but in general you can't go wrong whether it be The first Friday Art Walk, The Paseo Pastel (just finished)at the VCB. Performances abound like The "Wizard of Oz at Christchurch School of the Arts in Ponte Vedra with 54 actors ranging in age from 8 to 88!, South Pacific at St. Augustine High, No Sex, Please, We're British at the Limelight, and very soon at the Gamache Koger Theatre at Flagler College, the Classic Theatre's latest production, Love, Loss and What I Wore May11-13. ENOUGH! Check it out for yourselves and NEVER be BORED! Run a marathon ( there are plenty around), ride your bike, take to the beach, be a wave-runner - go see Jose Feliciano at the Amphitheatre. St. Augustine Never Sleeps!!

And on that note, one sees the City Commissioners are hard at work putting together plans that will please everyone(or almost) for the 450th and working to get on the same page. A small town is very transparent so every little stumbling block is scrutinized and sometimes used to foment discord. Hey - let's get together - we all want the same thing- BETTER TRAFFIC FLOW! HA! Duh!

On the serious side, it seems hard to get to the bottom about unemployment. The stats show it down everywhere, but also the labor participation rate is down, so it's more than a little bit confusing. Meanwhile, the great rates continue and people who can should take advantage of them to make their move and buy a home!

On the up side, residential sales are popping and they are realizing approx. 95.8% of their listing prides! Wow!!
