The YMCA
The YMCA is one of the most reputable sponsor of summer camps for children. Children have a chance to meet new friends and experience new things when they attend one of the camps at the YMCA. While they are building new friendships and making lasting memories, children get a boost in their self-confidence.
Each camp offered by the YMCA is planned with safety in mind. Camp staff members are well-trained in first aid and CPR. Swimming lessons are taught supervised by YMCA Aquatic Directors. Care is taken to prevent allergy incidents by making camps peanut free.
The Y’s Kidz day camp is suitable for children ages 3 – 6. The first summer camp experience is special for both parent and child. Parents want to ensure that their child is safe, and children want to have fun in an exciting atmosphere. This day camp provides both of those! Children learn to swim, play games, participate in sports activities, and create art. Camp days begin at 9 AM and end at 2 PM. Before and after care is available. The camper to counselor ratio is 7:1. Themes include Under the Big Top, Down on the Farm, and Space. The first camp begins June 22nd.
Camp Pamacka is suitable for ages 6 – 13. The YMCA has been providing children with fun at Camp Pamacka for over 35 years. Children make new friends and memories while learning to swim, playing sports, taking special trips, learning songs, and going to theme parties. Camp days begin at 9 AM and end at 5 PM. Before and after care is available. The camper to counselor ratio is 10:1. Specialty camps include Dance, Karate, Art, Basketball, and Legos. The first camp begins June 22nd.
Teen Trips are suitable for ages 11 – 15. Teens visit places such as the Jersey Shore, sports events, amusement parks, water parks, and other popular attractions. Some teens sign up with friends. The meeting place for even outing is the Ridgewood YMCA. They limit each camp to 30 teens. Camp days begin at 8:30 AM and end at 5:30 PM. Times may change depending on the destination. The camper to counselor ratio is 10:1. Trips planned for this year include Mountain Creek, Rockland Boulders Baseball Game, Splashdown Water Park, and Delaware River Rafting. The first camp begins June 29th.

Real Science! and Express Yourself camps are suitable for grades 3 - 5 and 6 – 8. Children get to make memories and meet new friends while exploring science, technology, and engineering. There are five themed camps and each lasts one week. The themes are held more than one week to fit the schedule of most registrants. Themes include Eyes on Spies, Let’s Get Animated, VideoMakers, and Very Useful Robots. Camps begin at 9 AM and end at 3 PM. Before and after care is available. The first camp begins on June 27th.
