How are homes selling in Schaumburg IL?

People always ask me “How many homes are selling?  Is the market getting better?" Well that seems to make a difference is what area or subdivision you live in.  It’s really not an evasive answer.  Each area and subdivision is totally different!  Here’s what I can tell you about the overall Schaumburg market –schaumburg IL real estate

Single Family Homes -  Schaumburg averages 33 home sales a month.  Inventory is down substantially.  The percentage of homes going under contract each month is 21 to 28%. Average Sold Price was $278,486 for the 1st quarter of 2015.

Inventory is down slightly less than single family homes.  The percentage of homes going under contract each month is 22 to 36% which is higher overall than single family.  Average sold price was $150,774 for the 1st quarter.

Hi Lyn, that's some interesting data. It seems to be moving in the right direction. Do the average sale prices always jump around so much in a matter of months? That seems like a big jump.

Ryan:  It simply means that there were less homes sold in the upper price ranges. More 200K homes sell, the price gets averaged lower. Most active price range in August was $200 to $300.
