Hoffman Estates IL - How's the real estate market?

What's happening this quarter? Glad you're here because people are always asking me “How many homes are selling?" How well we are seeing improvement seems to make a difference in what area or subdivision you live in.  It’s really not an evasive answer, it's an accurate one.  Each area and subdivision is totally different!  Here’s what I can tell you about the overall Hoffman Estates market –

Single Family Homes -  Hoffman Estates averages 30 home sales a month.  Inventory is down substantially. The percentage of homes going under contract each month is 19 to 27%. Average Sold Price was $266,100 for the 1st quarter of 2015.

Multi-Family Homes - Hoffman Estates averages 20 sales per month. Overall inventory is now 50% lower than single family homes. The percentage of homes going under contract each month is 32 to 40% which is higher overall than single family. Average sold price was $116,2000 for the 1st quarter.
