new profile updated with a Pic...

Mortgage and Lending with Oceanside Mortgage Group Inc

Oddly enough I have had a few emails from some AR members asking me to post my Pic.  As a rule in Biz I typically don't use my picture. I know I have had debates left and right with people about this.  But the question that I keep asking my self is "If my Dr or Lawyer handed me a card with a picture of them self on it would I think they were as professional?

So my question to you, the AR community is, Should Bankers / Mortgage Professionals have a Picture on their business cards?

By the way No comments about how goofy I look...

My every day serious self... Yuck...

So I have 1 for the pic?  But Why?  Why do we all find the need to use a picture???  My thought is if I do a GREAT job with my client they will remember me, Won't they?

I do not have a picture on my business card or my sign. This is because people make instant decisions from a picture favorable or unfavorable. AR, on the other hand is a place for social and business discussions and most people would like to talk to a face. Of course there is no way of knowing if its the right face.

Do you want to accept the advice from a monkey, flower pot or blank wallpaper.

Ditto to what David said. I have a nice business card with a photo that I took of a house. I used to have my photo on the cards and I was embarrassed to hand them out, especially as time went on, lol!! This way it's much more professional (in my opinion). However, here at AR, its nice to see who we are blogging to.

You do not look goofy, btw, my impression was "friendly":)

I think pics are important for contacts that are not face to face. Such as blogging, websites ect. I want to know who I am communicating with. And I think clients do too.

I agree with Lori that pics are good fro websites and blogs, but I don't think they make a big difference on business cards. Probably started years ago as a way to add personality to the cards and your business - the way a blog does for your business now.

PS. I don't put my pic on my cards...I think it's more professional to remember the service itself. People remember my cards. Deb

thanks for the comments.  It is nice to see that I'm not the only one in real estate who does not put a picture on a card.  I always think about the other professional industries and I have never seen a head shoot on any of my Dr's. biz cards...

thanks and keep the posts coming!

George, thank you for visiting my blog about setting up a fear button.  I hope you will help spread the word about how to do the fear button and maybe someday we will read about it helping somebody!
