Technology - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly!
Yesterday seemed like a wasted afternoon spent with a cranky piece of technology. In this business, we allot our time according to some sort of guideline. Whether it's calling clients, working on files, or whatever we need to get done during the day. But I doubt we ever allot time JUST for repairing technology.
Spending almost three hours with one technician was the most unusual experience in quite some time. Not only did I NOT plan on spending that much time without that piece of technology, but I spent most of it doing mental gymnastics of things I could have been doing.
Starting most of my mornings, I'll peruse my phone and eliminate any junk mail while half heartedly looking in the mirror making myself look presentable for the day. Multi-tasking while doing this must look hilarious, but I digress.
All of a sudden, my phone went dark with a spinning spiral in the middle. GASP! What the heck was that? Turning it off, then on again, I realized it was okay. But the inner work person said, "Don't even think about hesitating on this one."
So popping into the Verizon store mid-afternoon, selecting the least busy time for both them and me, I started the rant about my phone.
I've had this little jewel far too long. It had a custom case that I created on SkinIt.com so was personal and unique to me and my niche.
But holding onto a phone just for the case when the phone is about to go to Mars is not a good idea!
I created this custom back cover but will definitely change it this next time. My contact information should be in white or black. My office mates know immediately whose phone is left in the ladies room - which has been handy! Technology - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!
So, off we go. Nearly three hours later, I have my new IPhone 6. Now to create another custom back for my new phone.
Love the quick responses, great pictures, and ease of use.
